********* ISLAMIC CIRCLES MARRIAGE EVENTS IN DETAIL*****************

Islamic Circles presents:

1) SPECIAL NEEDS MUSLIM MARRIAGE EVENT

Date: Saturday 13th March 2010
Time: 10am – 12 Noon
Venue: Birkbeck College, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HX

A special marriage event for Muslims who may be considered
physically less able. This is the 2nd event of its kind
for Muslims in the UK. Perhaps you have been searching for
a partner with whom to complete half your Deen but have
sadly been the subject of subtle or overt discrimination
by Muslims who consider themselves to be able bodied and
are supposed to be your brothers and sisters in Islam?
Fed up with social taboos associated with disability and
would like to meet other Muslims without such hang ups
in a relaxed, non-judgmental, Islamic environment.

People of all statuses and from all backgrounds are welcome,
including converts and those born into Muslim families. People
who consider themselves to be able bodied are also welcome as
long as they are genuinely open to marrying someone who might
not be as physically able as them.

Light refreshments will be provided. This event is for sincere
and serious people only. Time wasters and people with bad
manners need not enquire.

BOOKING DEADLINE: MONDAY 8TH MARCH 2010

3) ISLAM IN ITALY – FULFILLING THE PROPHECY

Presentation by the Association of Italian Muslim Sisters [AIMS]
And 3 course home made Halal Italian meal

Date: Saturday 10th April 2010
Time: 1.45pm – 4.30pm [Prompt start]
venue: Toynbee Hall, 28 Commercial Street, London E1 6LS

“Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them
suddenly? But its Signs have already come!” (Al-Quran, Surah Muhammad).
As one of the signs, Imam Ahmad reported in his Musnad that Abdullah
bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘As  (ra) reports , Whilst we were around the Prophet
(saw) writing down, he was asked, “Which of the two cities is to be
opened first, Constantinople or Rome ?” He (the Prophet) answered,
“The city of Heraclius will be opened first!”

The Great Ottoman, Sultan Muhammed Fatih (rh) fulfilled the
prophecy by conquering the city of Heraclius (Constantinople).
Thus, remains the second part of the prophetic tidings to be
fulfilled; Having being forced out from Andalusia and recently
dispersed over the Balkan states, the city of Gaius Julius Caesar,
Rome, remains. Inshallah, let the dawah begin!

There will be a short presentation on Islam in Italy by
the Association of Italian Muslim Sisters (AIMS) with
proceeds going towards supporting Italian Muslims.

Enjoy a 3 course home made Halal Italian Buffet:
Menu includes: Crodino, Rustici, Pizza, Spiedini
Tricolore, Pomodori, al Tonno, Lasagne, Pasta
Primavera, Polpettone, Insalata di Patate, Tiramisu

********ISLAMIC CIRCLES COURSES IN DETAIL**************

Islamic Courses presents:

1) HISTORY OF THE CRUSADES AND SALAHUDDIN

Date: Sunday 28th March 2010
Time: 10 am – 5.00 pm
Venue: K.D. Grammar School, Alexandra Road South,
Whalley Range, Manchester M16 8NH

BOOKING DEADLINE: MONDAY 22ND MARCH 2010

Umamah Al-Bahili (ra) reports that the Prophet (saw) said, “A group
of my Ummah will remain on the truth, they will vanquish their enemy
and those who disagree with them will not be able to harm them until
Allah commands.” “Where are these people?” the Companions (ra) asked.
The Prophet (saw) said, “In and around Al-Quds (Jerusalem).” [Ahmad]

After uniting the Muslims, Sultan Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi reconquered
Jerusalem in 1187 CE from the Crusaders. Unlike the occupiers he
granted freedom to those who wanted to leave and did not allow
massacres to take place. The current mess in Palestine can be
summed up by Salahuddin’s own statement, which is more relevant
today than ever …

“We hope in Allah Most High, to whom be Praise who leads the hearts
of Muslims to calm what torments them and ruins their prosperity.
Where is the sense of honour of the Muslims? The pride of the
Believers? The zeal of the Faithful? We shall never cease to be
amazed at how the disbelievers for their part have shown trusts,
and it is the Muslims who have been lacking in zeal. Not one of
them has responded to the call. Not one intervenes to straighten
what is distorted; but observe how the Franks (The Crusaders)
have gone. What unity they have achieved. What aims they pursue.
What help they have given. What sums of money they have borrowed
and spent. What wealth they have collected and distributed and
divided amongst them. There is not a king left in their lands or
Islands, not a lord or a rich man who has not competed with his
neighbour to produce more support and rival his peer in strenuous
military efforts. In defence of their religion they consider it
a small thing to spend life and soul and they have kept their
infidel brothers supplied with arms and champions of war .. The
Muslims on the other hand are weakened and demoralised; they have
become negligent and lazy, victims of unproductive stupefaction
and completely lacking in enthusiasm. If, Allah forbid, Islam
should draw reign, obscure her splendour, blunt her sword there
would be no one, east or west, far or near who would blaze the
zeal for Allah’s religion, or choose to come to the aid of truth
against error. This is the moment to cast off laziness, to summon
from far and near all those men who have blood in their veins.
But we are confident (referring to himself and the small party
of believers who began with him and then became a large party) –
thanks to Allah – in the help that will come from him and entrust
ourselves to him in sincerity of purpose and deepest devotion.
Insha’Allah, the disbelievers shall perish and the faithful have
a sure deliverance.” [Taken from Abû Shâma, Kitâb Al-Rawdatayn]

Using established sources such as Ibn Shaddâd, Bahâ’ Al-Dîn, and
Al-Nawâdir al-Sultâniyyah wal-Mahâsin al-Yûsufîyyah, an excellent
and rare history of Salahuddin, this introductory course looks
at the following: The Muslim World and Europe in the 5th Century
Hijri (11th Century CE); The Crusades and the Crusaders; Origins
of the Crusades; The First Crusade and the Fall of Jerusalem;
The Feeble Reaction of Muslims – Causes and Effects; The Revival
Movement and Return to Jihad; The Jihad of Imad Al-Din Zangi;
Liberation of Edessa; The Second Crusade and its Failure; Nur
Al-Din Zangi in the Footsteps of His Father; Salahuddin’s Long
March towards Jerusalem; Battle of Hittin and its Consequences;
Liberation of Jerusalem; Western Attempts to Revenge; The Third
Crusade; Crusaders in Constantinople; Crusades on Egypt and
Elsewhere; Rukn al-Din Baibars and the End of the Crusaders;
and lessons that may be learned. This course is open to all but
spaces are limited. Entry is through prior registration only.

By Shaykh Dr Muhammad Akram Nadwi (Oxford)*

Date: Saturday 24th April 2010
Time: 9am – 5pm
Venue: Ebrahim College, 80 Greenfield Road, London E1 1EJ

Logic has been used by all civilisations throughout
the ages not just something invented by the Greeks
in particular Aristotle, who codified the principles
of logic so that it could be studied systematically.

Islamic Logic removes this Greek theology and
philosophy and the two main purposes of study of logic
(manţiq) in the Islamic sciences are used in the area of
Kalaam and Usul-ul-Fiqh where there is a need assess the
strength of a proof. Hence logic is used to make a proper
definition of a concept and construct a sound proof or
argument and detect flaws in a faulty argument.

This 1 day intensive course will focus on the following:

– Introduction to principal terms and concept
– Appreciation of Greek logic by Imam Ghazali (rh)
– Critique of Greek logic by Ibn Taymiyyah) (rh)
– Concept (Tasawwur) and Verification (Tasdiq)

prestigious Nadwatul ‘Ulama (India). A Muhaddith specialising in

Ali Al-Nadwi, Abdul-Fattah Abu Ghuddah and Yusuf al-Qaradawi. He has
