Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to all and take place at The National Liberal Club (David Lloyd George Room), Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2HE.

Our lectures and debates take place between 1pm- 2pm, with doors opening for lunch at 12:30.

Many of our events are over-subscribed and registered members of Global Strategy Forum are given priority. Registration is quick and free – simply click on the ‘Register’ button on the left-hand menu.

The May Debate I

Tuesday 18th May 2010 (12.30-2.30pm)

Dr. Stefan Halper, Senior Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge will be speaking the themes of his new book, ‘The Beijing Consensus – How China’s Authoritarian Model Will Dominate the Twenty-First Century’. Nigel Inkster CMG, the Director of Transnational Threats and Political Risk at the International Institute for Strategic Studies will give a sinologist’s perspective.

The June Lecture II

Tuesday 22nd June 2010 (12.30-2.30pm)

Stephen King, the global chief economist at HSBC, will be giving a lecture at Global Strategy Forum on the themes of his new book, ‘Losing Control – The Emerging Threats to Western Prosperity’. This event will be chaired by GSF Advisory Board Member, the Rt Hon Lord Lamont of Lerwick (Chancellor of the Exchequer 1990-1993).

The July Lecture

Tuesday 6th July 2010 (12.30-2.30pm)

Charles Farr, Director General of the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism at the Home Office, will be our July guest lecturer. The title of his lecture is to be confirmed.
