One of the biggest misconceptions about Islam is that it permits child marriage, and is therefore looked down upon as medieval, oppressive and illogical by non-Muslims. With reports that the Rev. Fred Phelps Sr. dead, many quipped the Westboro Baptist Church, the very organization he founded, would picket his funeral as they have so many others in the past.
